[Brand Story]
Donong means "ceramic farmer," symbolizing the dedication to crafting pottery as diligently as a farmer sows seeds and cultivates crops. Specializing in tea ware that embodies Korean sensibilities, Donong draws inspiration from Joseon white porcelain. Rather than simply following tradition, the studio explores modern aesthetics by incorporating diverse materials such as silver, bronze, and gold accents to create innovative works.

[Description]
The deep color of black clay resembles the rich hue of fertile earth, and to express the texture given by nature, a glaze was applied using a sprinkling technique. The surface of the ceramic was hand-carved to introduce variation in form, while the copper and silver accents used in select areas add a layer of richness to the piece. The footed plate serves multiple purposes, whether used as a cup saucer or for placing small confections, making it highly versatile in its use.
