[Designer] Soo-kyung Jho

[Brand Story]
Orem is a ceramic studio founded and directed by artist Jho Soo-kyung, operating under the name orem. Drawing inspiration from fragments of everyday life, the artist creates “objects that hold memory.” Through this ongoing practice, orem envisions its works as symbolic vessels—quietly preserving fleeting moments as they pass. Orem’s ceramic pieces function both as utilitarian objects and sculptural presences. By bridging everyday use with an understated, non-ordinary mood, they propose a heightened sensory experience within daily life.

[Description]
This small object highlights the natural form of a seashell. It can be used to hold tea leaves or sauces, or to rest chopsticks, tea tools, or accessories. The front surface is lined with silver, allowing the contents placed within to be softly reflected, creating subtle visual interest. In contrast, the back surface retains a matte, solid seashell-like texture, offering a tactile appreciation of the material’s natural character.
