Objects crafted through the slow art of lacquerware go beyond mere function, with each piece conveying the density of time and the philosophy of the artist in a quiet yet powerful manner. We value sustainability and depth. Each brushstroke, each moment of waiting, holds its own meaning of ‘existence,’ and through repetition, lacquerware achieves its true form. Sui57Atelier explores the value beyond the object and the reason for its existence through this process.

Sui’s items are naturally painted on varieties of materials, such as wood, cloth, with sap extracted from a lacquer tree. Thus, this craft art is eco-friendly, having preservability and moisture resistance.
