HABIT-US [ˈhæbɪtʌs] fuses the idea of habit—the everyday gestures and rituals that shape life—with us, symbolizing community and connection. Together, these ideas reflect the brand’s vision to go beyond product design and contribute to the lifestyle and culture of those who experience HABIT-US. Guided by a philosophy of discovering “the familiar yet overlooked beauty,” the brand reinterprets unnoticed elements of life—objects, people, and even forms that do not yet exist—and transforms them into objects that exist at the boundary between product and artwork.

[Description]
The “Hello, there” Gat Wind Chime is inspired by a traditional Korean phrase once called out by noblemen at the gates of their homes. Reimagined as a contemporary sensory object, the piece draws from the iconic form of the Korean gat (traditional hat). The upper structure is hand-shaped from solid charcoal, echoing the Heungnip—the archetypal gat known for its breathable mesh structure and black color symbolizing dignity and authority. These qualities align naturally with the porous texture and raw surface of charcoal. Paired with a resonant copper bell below, the wind chime produces a clear, tranquil sound when stirred by air, evoking a sense of purification and calm within a space. Each element is meticulously connected by hand, resulting in a piece defined by refined detail and a distinct artisanal presence.
