Orem is a ceramic studio founded and directed by artist Jho Soo-kyung, operating under the name orem. Drawing inspiration from fragments of everyday life, the artist creates “objects that hold memory.” Through this ongoing practice, orem envisions its works as symbolic vessels—quietly preserving fleeting moments as they pass. Orem’s ceramic pieces function both as utilitarian objects and sculptural presences. This small oval plate is designed for serving olives or sauces, or for holding small accessories. It is characterized by natural hand-pinched marks and raised decorative details that follow its organic form.
Finished with a silver lining, the surface carries a soft sheen that gently reflects the items placed upon it, offering a subtle yet engaging visual experience.
