đź”´ Brand Story
Gobjet combines "Go" (古, old) and "Objet," expressing the idea that traditional furniture can live on as an object of sculptural value in modern life. Founded by a craftsman born into a family of National Intangible Heritage joinery and trained in the Korean tradition, Gobjet treats woodworking as a process of building time and memory. Rather than simply recreating tradition, each piece reinterprets it with a contemporary sensibility, using natural woods such as chamjuk (Chinese toon), zelkova and meokgam (ink-black persimmon) to bring out the warmth of real wood.
